Terms & Conditions
By registering for a MOVE MOROCCO tour, submitting a deposit, or making any payment, the traveler acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. The person completing a booking on behalf of other travelers is responsible for ensuring that every traveler included in the booking receives and agrees to these terms.
Booking, Deposit, and Final Payment
A deposit is required at the time of booking to reserve the traveler’s place. Unless otherwise stated in writing, deposits are nonrefundable.
The remaining balance is due no later than two months before the tour’s scheduled start date. Reservations made within two months of departure require payment in full at the time of booking.
Failure to make the final payment by the deadline may result in cancellation of the reservation and forfeiture of payments already made.
All travelers must complete and sign the required participation waiver during registration through WeTravel. A traveler may not participate until all required forms and waivers have been completed.
Room Accommodations
Tour pricing is based on shared accommodations. Rooms may be double, triple, or quadruple occupancy, depending on the tour, property, group size, and room availability.
MOVE MOROCCO will make reasonable efforts to honor roommate preferences but cannot guarantee a particular roommate, room type, bed configuration, or occupancy arrangement. Private rooms may be available for an additional single-supplement fee when offered and subject to availability.
Traveler Responsibilities
Travelers are responsible for verifying and meeting all passport, visa, vaccination, health, and other entry requirements for the destination. MOVE MOROCCO strongly recommends that all U.S. citizens traveling internationally, including to Morocco, carry a valid U.S. passport with sufficient validity beyond the travel dates.
Travelers are responsible for providing accurate personal, passport, emergency-contact, medical, and flight information by the requested deadlines.
For current travel warnings and advisories, visit the U.S. Department of State at travel.state.gov. For health and vaccination information, consult the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at cdc.gov/travel.
Health and Physical Requirements
International travel may involve extended walking, stairs, uneven surfaces, high elevations, heat, long driving days, remote locations, unfamiliar foods, and limited access to medical care.
Each traveler is responsible for determining whether they are physically and medically able to participate safely. Travelers should consult a qualified healthcare provider regarding medical conditions, medications, vaccinations, mobility concerns, or other health considerations before traveling.
Travelers must bring an adequate supply of required medications and notify MOVE MOROCCO in writing before departure of any medical condition, allergy, dietary restriction, mobility limitation, or other circumstance that may affect their safety or participation.
MOVE MOROCCO will make reasonable efforts to accommodate disclosed needs but cannot guarantee that every destination, property, vehicle, or activity will be accessible or suitable for every traveler. MOVE MOROCCO may restrict a traveler’s participation in an activity when reasonably necessary to protect the health or safety of that traveler or the group.
Travelers are responsible for all medical treatment, evacuation, transportation, accommodation, and related expenses incurred during the tour.
Itinerary and Supplier Changes
MOVE MOROCCO reserves the right to modify the itinerary, accommodations, transportation, guides, activities, meals, timing, or route when reasonably necessary because of availability, safety concerns, weather, road conditions, government restrictions, supplier changes, local circumstances, or events outside its control.
When possible, MOVE MOROCCO will provide a comparable alternative. Reasonable itinerary changes do not constitute grounds for cancellation, refund, or chargeback.
Reservation Changes and Transfers
Travelers may request changes to or transfers of their reservations by contacting MOVE MOROCCO in writing. Changes and transfers are subject to availability, supplier approval, applicable deadlines, and any additional costs imposed by MOVE MOROCCO or its suppliers.
The original traveler remains responsible for the reservation and all outstanding charges until MOVE MOROCCO confirms the change or transfer in writing and the replacement traveler has completed all required payments, registration information, waivers, and documents.
Payments and reservations may not be transferred without prior written approval from MOVE MOROCCO.
Conduct and Removal
Travelers are expected to treat other guests, guides, drivers, suppliers, local residents, and MOVE MOROCCO representatives with respect and to comply with applicable laws, safety instructions, cultural expectations, and group guidelines.
MOVE MOROCCO reserves the right to restrict or terminate a traveler’s participation, without refund, if the traveler’s conduct is disruptive, abusive, threatening, unsafe, illegal, harassing, or materially interferes with the experience or wellbeing of others.
A traveler removed from a tour is responsible for all resulting expenses, including alternative transportation, accommodations, meals, and return travel. MOVE MOROCCO will have no further obligation to provide services to that traveler.
Missed or Unused Services
No refund, credit, or reimbursement will be provided for services missed or unused because of late arrival, early departure, illness, personal choice, failure to follow the itinerary, failure to meet entry requirements, transportation delays, removal from the tour, or any other circumstance attributable to the traveler.
Travelers are responsible for any additional expenses required to rejoin the group or make alternative arrangements.
Baggage and Personal Property
Travelers are responsible for their baggage and personal belongings at all times. MOVE MOROCCO is not responsible for luggage or personal property that is lost, stolen, delayed, misplaced, or damaged by airlines, transportation providers, hotels, suppliers, other travelers, or third parties.
Travelers are encouraged to keep passports, medications, money, electronics, and valuables with them and to obtain travel insurance that includes baggage coverage.
Photography and Media
MOVE MOROCCO may take photographs or video during tours and may use this content for its website, social media, advertising, promotional materials, and other legitimate business purposes.
Travelers who do not wish to appear in promotional photographs or video must opt out by providing written notice by email to lindsey@movemorocco.com before the tour begins. MOVE MOROCCO will make reasonable efforts to honor all timely opt-out requests.
WeTravel and Payment-Processing Fees
MOVE MOROCCO uses WeTravel as its booking and payment platform. WeTravel may charge booking, service, wire-transfer, or payment-processing fees based on the amount paid, currency, and payment method selected.
These fees are separate from the tour price and are processed through WeTravel. They are not retained by MOVE MOROCCO. Applicable fees and the total payment amount are displayed at checkout before the traveler authorizes and submits payment.
By completing the transaction, the traveler acknowledges and accepts all displayed fees. WeTravel’s fees and available payment methods are subject to change. Certain platform or processing fees may be nonrefundable, even when part of a tour payment is eligible for a refund.
Refunds and Cancellations
Unless a trip-specific cancellation schedule states otherwise in writing, deposits and payments made to MOVE MOROCCO are nonrefundable.
A tour may include multiple components—such as accommodations, transportation, guides, activities, and retreat services—each of which may be subject to separate supplier policies. Any trip-specific cancellation terms provided during booking will control if they differ from this general policy.
No refunds will be issued for cancellation because of fear of travel, personal circumstances, illness, transportation disruption, political concerns, pandemics, or similar circumstances unless expressly required by the applicable trip-specific cancellation policy or governing law.
Force Majeure
MOVE MOROCCO is not responsible for delay, modification, interruption, or cancellation caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including political unrest, war, civil disturbance, terrorism, strikes, natural disasters, epidemics, pandemics, government restrictions, border closures, transportation shutdowns, extreme weather, or similar events.
If a tour is canceled before it begins because of force majeure, MOVE MOROCCO may offer one or more of the following, depending on supplier policies and the circumstances:
-
A refund of amounts actually recovered from suppliers, less the nonrefundable deposit and unrecoverable expenses;
-
A credit toward a future MOVE MOROCCO retreat or private tour, subject to a stated expiration date; or
-
A rescheduled or materially similar tour.
-
If a tour has already begun and is interrupted by force majeure, no refund is guaranteed. MOVE MOROCCO will make reasonable efforts to assist travelers with safe alternatives but is not responsible for additional expenses resulting from the interruption.
Limitation of Liability and Third-Party Suppliers
MOVE MOROCCO coordinates services provided by independent suppliers, including hotels, guides, drivers, activity providers, restaurants, airlines, and other transportation companies. MOVE MOROCCO does not own or directly control these independent suppliers.
To the extent permitted by law, MOVE MOROCCO is not responsible for injuries, losses, delays, damages, or additional expenses arising from the acts or omissions of independent suppliers or from events outside MOVE MOROCCO’s reasonable control.
By booking, the traveler voluntarily assumes the ordinary and inherent risks associated with international travel and participation in the selected activities. Nothing in these terms is intended to waive any right or liability that cannot legally be waived.
.
Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended. Travelers should consider coverage for trip cancellation, trip interruption, medical treatment, emergency evacuation, baggage loss or delay, supplier default, and political or weather-related disruption.
Travelers are responsible for understanding the coverage, exclusions, deadlines, and claim requirements of any policy they purchase. MOVE MOROCCO is not responsible for an insurer’s decision to approve or deny a claim.
