Overview
This one is one of our fan favorites. If you like to immerse in the places you travel to, and get an even deeper sense of the lifestyle, as well as connect with local people, then this 8 day trip is for you. You will get to experiences things only locals will be able to show you. Your tour will include a stay at a family owned Riad, henna, tea with the nomads, and a hammam experience if desired.
You will also get the chance to enjoy an evening under the Sahara stars with the desert locals as they perform the authentic Berber drums at the desert camp. You will leave with a deep sense of the culture, hospitality, and lifestyle of the native desert dwellers.
Day 1 | Arrival at Kathmandu, Pickup from airport & drop off at hotel. Check in after refreshments, evening meeting with your guide for briefing. |
Day 2 | Sightseeing in Kathmandu, visit UNESCO world heritage sites such as oldest Buddist Stuppa known as "Monkey Temple," visit ancient places such as temples, palaces, and shrines. |
Day 3 | Take a morning flight to Pokhara, enjoy beautiful Himalayan range during flight, take a boat at Phewa Lake, visit Tal Barahi Temple, take a short hike to World Peace Pagoda, and visit Gupteshwori cave. |
Day 4 | Drive to Sarangkot to witness sunrise over Annapurna Himalayan range, begin trekking at Hile, hike through Tikhedhunga, a small settlement, dinner and overnight in Ulleri teahouse. Total altitude gain: 10050 Meters. |
Day 5 | Begin hiking after breakfast passing through settlements of Banthati and Nangethati. Hike mostly through forest, end with dinner and overnight at teahouse in Ghorepani. Total altitude gain: 890 Meters. |
Day 6 | Begin early morning hike to Poonhill for sunrise and then back to hotel. After breakfast, make trek to Tadapani and have beautiful views of Annapurna range, including Dhaulagiri. Overnight in Tadapani. Total altitude gain: 400 Meters/Total Altitude loss: 550 Meters. |
Day 7 | Hike down to Ghandruk village through beautiful jungle trail, explore the village of the Gurung and explore the tribal attributes, visit old museums, monasteries, and tea gardens, overnight in Ghandruk tea house. |
Day 8 | After breakfast, drive back to Pokhara to fly back to Kathmandu after leisure time in Pokhara, overnight in Kathmandu. |
Day 9 | Breakfast at the hotel, and airport dropoff 3 hours before your flight. |

3-Star Hotels in Kathmandu & Pokhara:

Shared bathrooms with squat or Western-style toilets and simple shower facilities (sometimes with hot water, depending on availability) are common.
