YOU ARE MADE TO MOVE.

Your heart, your mind, and your spirit all crave expansion. Deep down, you know there is more life waiting for you than the routine you’ve been living. The only thing that truly holds most women back is the story they’ve been telling themselves—maybe it’s too late, maybe it’s too far, maybe it’s not for me.

But when you decide to move, that story begins to change. You step beyond the patterns that kept your world small and rediscover the courage that’s been inside you all along.

This isn’t just about travel. It’s about rediscovering the woman underneath the responsibilities, the painful chapters, and the years spent putting everyone else first. The woman who is curious, brave, and ready to feel alive again.

DESIRE IS THE CALLING.

MOVEMENT IS THE TRANSFORMATION.

TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1 - ARRIVAL IN CASABLANCA
Highlight: Private airport pickup and a visit to the Hassan II Mosque

Your driver will be waiting for you outside the airport with a sign bearing your name. He'll take you to your hotel to check in, and if time permits, you'll visit the iconic Hassan II Mosque before a relaxing evening in Casablanca.

DAY 2 - CASABLANCA TO FES
Highlight: Local tour of Morocco's culture capital of Fes.

We'll make an early departure from Casablanca to Fes, Morocco's cultural and spiritual capital, home to the world's oldest university. A local guide will lead us through the city's most iconic sights: a pottery and mosaic tile workshop, a walk through the ancient walled old city, and the leather tannery with its honeycomb of stone dye pits. In the evening, there's the option of a traditional Moroccan steam bath before dinner and an overnight stay at a riad or traditional Moroccan-style hotel.

DAY 3 - FES TO MERZOUGA
Highlight: Feeding Berber monkeys in the cedar forest en route to the desert

We'll travel through the Ziz Oasis Valley, stopping near the cedar forests to feed and admire the Barbary macaques. After passing through the Tafilalt Oasis, Morocco's largest palm valley, we'll continue into the desert, ending the evening with a traditional Berber dinner and a comfortable night's stay.

DAY 4 - MERZOUGA DESERT DAY
Highlight: Camel trek into the Sahara for a night at a luxury desert camp

We'll explore the sand dunes by 4x4, share tea with nomadic communities, and search for fossils along the way. In the afternoon, we'll ride camels into the desert to reach a luxury camp, where the evening unfolds with stargazing, Berber music, and a full traditional dinner.

DAY 5 - MERZOUGA TO DADES GORGE
Highlight: Sunrise sandboarding on the dunes before the drive to Dades Gorge

Wake early to catch the sunrise over the dunes, with the chance to try sandboarding before breakfast. We'll then set off toward Dades Gorge, passing through Rissani to experience one of Morocco's oldest and most authentic markets along the way.

DAY 6 - DADES GORGE TO AIT BEN HADDOU
Highlight: Learning traditional pottery-making in the village of Skoura

We'll traverse the dramatic landscapes of the High Atlas, stopping in the village of Skoura to learn how locals make traditional clay pottery. We'll end the day visiting Ait Ben Haddou, a world-renowned kasbah and famous filming location.

DAY 7 - AIT BEN HADDOU TO MARRAKECH
Highlight: Crossing the High Atlas Mountains into Marrakech

We'll continue through the High Atlas Mountains, stopping at the Tizi n'Tichka pass and an Argan oil shop along the way. Arriving in Marrakech, you'll have time to explore the medina's bustling souks and landmarks like Jemaa el-Fna square before dinner and a stay at your riad.

DAY 8 - MARRAKECH DEPARTURE OR ESSAOUIRA 1/2 DAY TOUR
Highlight: Say goodbye or day tour is Essaouira

Enjoy breakfast and take in the last views from your riad,  before your driver takes you to the airport for your departure flight home.  If you are continuing onto the 10-day tour, we will travel to Essaouira and have a 1/2 day tour, followed by an evening yoga or meditation session near the ocean.  Keep an eye out to see goats in the trees along the way!

DAY 9 - ESSAOUIRA TO MARRAKECH

Highlight: Last-minute souk shopping in Essaouira and a farewell dinner in Jemaa el-Fnaa

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and take in your final ocean views from your riad, then wander Essaouira’s charming souk for last-minute souvenirs, from argan oil and spices to handwoven textiles and thuya wood keepsakes. In the afternoon, we’ll travel back to Marrakech, arriving in time to freshen up before a farewell dinner in the heart of Jemaa el-Fnaa. As the square comes alive with music, storytellers, and sizzling food stalls, we’ll celebrate the journey we’ve shared together.

YOUR RETREAT HOSTS

Lindsey Brown (Owner/Retreat Host)

Lindsey grew up as a dancer and later spent years running marathons and triathlons, always drawn to movement and challenge. As her children grew older, she began asking deeper questions about purpose and identity. While living in Europe, a girls’ trip to Morocco shifted everything—her heart expanded and her perspective widened. She realized purpose isn’t something we acquire, but something we uncover by living the values already within us: courage, gratitude, resilience, and connection. That insight led her to create Move Morocco, where she now guides women through meaningful experiences that step beyond comfort zones, build real friendships, immerse in authentic culture, and leave them feeling proud, inspired, and more connected to who they truly are.

Michelle Oakson (Movement Expert)

Michelle is a movement instructor with a background in dance education who has spent years teaching in studios, schools, and group fitness spaces. Her classes blend dance, fitness, and yoga to create experiences that are both energizing and grounding, helping people reconnect with their bodies, each other, and the joy of movement. After traveling through Morocco, she fell in love with the country’s beauty, culture, and energy, and felt inspired to weave intentional movement and mindfulness into the journey. Her retreats are designed to help participants slow down, move with awareness, and experience Morocco in a deeper, more meaningful way. When she’s not teaching, Michelle enjoys gardening, cheering on BYU Cougars football, and exploring United States National Parks with her husband and four kids.

Through travel, I create space for what’s often unseen to surface—tension, emotion, and old patterns—and gently transform into clarity and strength. Because when we move with awareness and step into new places, we don’t just experience the world differently, we begin to remember who we are. Are you ready?

WHERE YOU'LL STAY

THE ACCOMMODATIONS

Nomad Style Journey

We move through Morocco nomad-style, staying on the journey rather than in one place. Each day brings a new landscape, a new rhythm, and a new space to land—allowing you to experience the country as it truly unfolds, not from a single point but through movement and discovery.

Traditional Riads

Along the way, we stay in hand-selected traditional riads—beautiful Moroccan homes built around peaceful courtyards. These spaces are rich in character, warm in design, and deeply rooted in local culture, offering a sense of calm and authenticity after full days of exploration.

Luxury Desert Camp
In the Sahara, we step into a luxury desert camp beneath the stars. Comfortable, beautifully designed tents meet the vast stillness of the dunes, creating an unforgettable balance of simplicity and comfort in one of the most extraordinary settings on earth.

HOW YOU'LL GET AROUND

THE GUIDES

Throughout your tour, you’ll travel with a trusted, experienced Moroccan guide who will be by your side every step of the journey. We carefully select guides who combine deep local knowledge with genuine warmth, professionalism, and hospitality, ensuring you always feel safe and well cared for. In historic cities such as Fes and Marrakech, you’ll also explore with expert city guides who reveal the fascinating stories, traditions, hidden corners, and little-known details most travelers miss. Together, they help you go beyond the typical tourist experience, connect deeply with Moroccan culture, and create memories you’ll never forget.

WHAT YOU'LL EAT

EAT WELL

In Morocco, every meal is a celebration of fresh, seasonal ingredients and vibrant flavor. You’ll enjoy crisp vegetables, colorful salads, tender chicken and beef, fragrant herbs, and the unique blend of Moroccan spices that makes every dish so memorable. Traditional favorites like slow-cooked tagine and beautifully layered pastilla offer a true taste of Moroccan culture, while fresh, seasonal fruit makes the perfect dessert—from juicy watermelon in the summer to sweet citrus and freshly squeezed orange juice during the winter months. Meals are meant to be shared and savored, giving you a delicious and nourishing way to experience the heart of Morocco.

SOMETHING MORE

What happens on this journey doesn’t stay in Morocco. - The perspective, courage, and connection you discover here travel home with you.

1. From hesitation → to courage
Arrive unsure about stepping outside your comfort zone. Leave realizing you’re more capable and adventurous than you imagined.

2. From routine → to perspective
Step away from daily life and into a new culture. Return home seeing life with fresh eyes and deeper gratitude.

3. From strangers → to friendship
Arrive as strangers. Leave with meaningful connections and friendships formed through shared experiences.

4. From uncertainty → to pride
There’s often a moment when it clicks—you did something brave, and that confidence stays with you.

5. From “Should I go?” → “I’m so glad I did.”
Again and again the same thing is said: the experience meant more than expected.

Because in the end, it’s not just a trip.

It’s an experience that stays with you.
