THE ITINERARY
DAY 1 - ARRIVAL IN CASABLANCA
Highlight: Private airport pickup and a visit to the Hassan II Mosque
Your driver will be waiting for you outside the airport with a sign bearing your name. He’ll take you to your hotel to check in, and if time permits, you’ll visit the iconic Hassan II Mosque before a relaxing evening in Casablanca.
DAY 2 - FES DAY TOUR
Highlight: Exploring the culture and history of Morocco’s spiritual capital
After breakfast, we’ll explore Fes with a local guide who will introduce you to the city’s rich history, culture, and craftsmanship. Wander through the ancient medina, visit a traditional pottery and mosaic workshop, and see the famous leather tannery with its colorful dye pits. You’ll have time to experience the souks, discover hidden corners of the medina, and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner before another night in your riad.
DAY 3 - FES TO MERZOUGA
Highlight: Traveling through Morocco’s Middle Atlas Mountains and palm-filled oases
We’ll leave Fes and journey toward the Sahara, traveling through the Middle Atlas Mountains and stopping in the cedar forests to see the Barbary macaques. Continuing through the Ziz Valley and Tafilalt Oasis, you’ll watch the landscape transform from mountains and fertile valleys to the dramatic desert. We’ll arrive in Merzouga in time to settle in and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner.
DAY 4 - MERZOUGA DESERT DAY
Highlight: 4x4 desert adventure and a camel trek into the Sahara
Today is all about experiencing the Sahara. We’ll explore the dunes by 4x4, visit a nomadic community, and search for fossils hidden in the desert landscape. In the afternoon, you’ll ride camels across the golden dunes to a luxury desert camp, where you’ll enjoy a traditional dinner, Berber music, and an unforgettable night beneath the stars.
DAY 5 - MERZOUGA TO OUARZAZATE
Highlight: Sunrise over the Sahara and the dramatic landscapes of southern Morocco
Wake early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, with the opportunity to try sandboarding before breakfast. We’ll then journey west through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing through Rissani and the palm-filled Draa Valley. Along the way, you’ll see some of Morocco’s most dramatic desert and mountain scenery before arriving in Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the Sahara and a famous filming destination.
DAY 6 - OUARZAZATE TO MARRAKECH
Highlight: Ait Ben Haddou and crossing the High Atlas Mountains
We’ll begin the day with a visit to Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco’s famous UNESCO-listed kasbah and a backdrop for numerous films and television productions. From there, we’ll cross the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, with stops along the way to take in the scenery and visit a local argan oil cooperative. We’ll arrive in Marrakech with time to settle into your riad and begin exploring the vibrant medina.
DAY 7 - MARRAKECH DEPARTURE
Highlight: A final taste of Marrakech before heading home
Enjoy breakfast and your final morning in Morocco. Depending on your flight time, you may have a little time for last-minute shopping in the souks or a final walk through the medina before your private transfer to the airport. Leave Morocco with unforgettable memories of its cities, mountains, culture, and Sahara desert.
